My Background:
I'm an English teacher from the U.K with over ten years experience at private language institutions and universities in Asia and the U.K. In terms of language learning, l minored in German at University, completed a full-time intensive Korean language in Seoul, South Korea and l have studied Japanese, Italian and Chinese at beginners level.
Why Chinese?
Simple reason: l teach at a Chinese University (l am currently teaching remotely, due to China's Zero Covid policy) and l hope to move there in the near future.
Why blog about my learning experiences?
The main aim of this blog is to reflect on my teaching practice through being a language learner; l want to see if l in fact practice what l preach, but more importantly l want to revaluate the strategies l teach through applying to my experience learning Chinese.
